WordWatchers is a group of writers. We eat cake.
We write books too. Well, some of us do. Some of us just talk about writing and don’t actually produce much. But that’s okay. We’re all equal in the eyes of the Editor.
Besides, it’s mostly about the cake.
And the cookies.
Supporting writers since 2001
Based in Newbury, Berkshire, we are a small writing group, meeting up twice a month to encourage, console, celebrate and discuss all things literary.
Telling Tales
It’s hard to imagine a writing group more diverse in taste, genre and medium. Check out the WordWatchers’ bookshelf.
Small but perfectly formed
Our group may be small, but our ambitions are lofty. Find out who currently flies the WordWatchers flag.

A few of the writers in our group really struggle with the synopsis for their book. https://t.co/unTlP02OvZ
